Piazza delle Conserve - Cesenatico

The Conserve or Ghiacciaie, were very popular along the Adriatic coast of Romagna. They had the specific function of store fish filled with ice or snow in order to keep it fresh. Cesenatico, ancient town with flourishing fisheries, is fortunate to have owned more than 20 Conserve tanks, functioning in part during the beginning of the XX Century. Three of them have been kept in original condition and they can be visited in piazzetta delle Conserve in Cesenatico's city center.
Today, every morning you visitors can find a typical market of flowers, fruits and vegetables.
During the summer the Piazzetta delle Conserve and Via Fiorentini host traditional Summer markets .
